Dr. Wanda Pacheco Bou, PhD, AD, TFHKI

About Me

Dr. Pacheco Bou has a PhD in Community Social Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico and a doctorate in Ayurvedic Medicine from the Sai Ayurvedic College. She is an instructor and consultant in the Touch for Health model, a reiki master and ayurvedic marma therapist in the non-profit organization Centro de Apoyo Integrado y Kinesiología Energética, 501c3, and in the social enterprise Ayurveda PR & Other Healing Sciences, founder and CEO of both institutions.

Additionally, she has over 20 years of experience as a consultant in Puerto Rico and the US philanthropic and non-profit sectors. She has excelled on several boards of directors in this sector and collaborated with multiple entities and social action groups, including being the current secretary of the board of the Puerto Rico Touch Kinesiology for Health Association. Her work as a consultant focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and the sustainable development of programmatic and organizational models with a focus on their social impact.

The Fundación Comunitaria de Puerto Rico recognized her as one of 35 Forjadores de Esperanza (Makers of Hope) in 2021 for her track record of service, leadership, and far-reaching and innovative changes in her community through the Respiro en Red program.

​

Her approach brings into dialogue the integrated support services model of Respiro en Red, which includes care planning, education, psychology, nutrition, yoga, kinesiology, reiki, sound therapy, and meditation, among others, with the holistic practice of Ayurvedic medicine, social-community psychology and the Touch for Health model.

She has co-edited an international book on Community Psychology and published in peer-reviewed books and scientific journals. She is also the author and co-author of hundreds of evaluation and research instruments
